Job summary

The Write Connection Singapore is seeking educators for its Flexi-Adjunct Role to teach English and writing with a ready-to-use curriculum. You can choose class days that fit your schedule and commit for the full calendar year.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons to small classes, keeping students engaged, and providing progress feedback. The role rewards dedication with attractive remuneration and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience teaching English and/or writing.
• A degree from a reputable university, preferably in related fields such as Law, Arts, Humanities or Communications.
• Passionate about teaching English and writing to primary and secondary students.
• Willing to commit to classes until the end of the academic year (December).

Job Responsibilities

• Teach small class sizes of up to 10 students.
• Deliver engaging and enriching English and Writing lessons using our professionally developed curriculum and teaching resources.
• Foster a positive, safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages every student to grow with confidence.
• Mark students' work promptly, monitor their academic progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Build rapport with parents and update them termly on their child’s academic and personal progress.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience teaching English and/or writing in a school or learning centre.
• A Degree from a reputable university, preferably in related fields of Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or Communications.
• Passionate about teaching English and writing to primary and secondary school students.
• Willing to develop skills and implement strategies to teach and support students of differing levels and competencies.
• Willing to adopt TWC's ethos and pedagogy.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills to effectively engage all stakeholders.
• Able to commit to classes until the end of the academic year (in December).
• Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and number of classes contracted for.
