Job summary

The Write Connection Singapore invites fresh graduates to start a teaching career in a structured graduate programme. You will receive month-long teacher training, ongoing mentorship and ready-to-use teaching materials to help you inspire students.

No prior teaching experience is required; we are looking for potential and a passion for English and writing. You will teach, mark work, and grow through mentor-led development and supported classroom experiences.

Qualifications

• A degree from a reputable university in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or Communications.
• Passionate about teaching English and writing to primary and secondary students.
• Willing to develop skills and implement strategies to teach and support students of differing levels.

Responsibilities

• Teach 10–12 small classes per week (max 10 students per class).
• Deliver engaging English and Writing lessons using the curriculum.
• Foster a positive, safe classroom environment and nurture student growth.
• Mark students’ work promptly and provide feedback for progress.
• Update parents on students’ academic development and learning journey.
• Attend weekly Professional Development Meetings.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach an average of 10 to 12 small classes per week (maximum of 10 students per class), including substitute classes when required.
• Deliver engaging and enriching English and Writing lessons using our professionally developed curriculum and teaching resources.
• Foster a positive, safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages every student to grow with confidence.
• Mark students' work promptly, monitor their academic progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with parents by providing regular updates on students' academic development and learning journey.
• Participate in weekly Professional Development Meetings to continually strengthen your teaching practice.

Job Requirements

You don't need prior teaching experience. We are looking for potential.

• A Degree from a reputable university, preferably in related fields of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or Communications.
• Passionate about teaching English and writing to primary and secondary school students.
• Willing to develop skills and implement strategies to teach and support students of differing levels and competencies.
• Willing to adopt TWC's ethos and pedagogy.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills to effectively engage all stakeholders.
• Able to teach and mark effectively, managing a workload of up to 12 classes weekly.
• Able to work 5 days a week (4 weekdays and 1 weekend, OR 3 weekdays and 2 weekends) - remuneration will be commensurate with experience and work commitment on weekends.
