Job summary

WRITE EDGE LEARNING CENTRE (BC) PTE. LTD. is seeking a part-time English teacher to join its centres across Singapore. Classes are small, up to eight students, with 2-hour lessons scheduled weekly.

Applicants should hold a degree in English, Literature, Linguistics or related fields; those pursuing relevant degrees are welcome. Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage, and familiarity with the Singapore curriculum is a plus. Per-lesson rate ranges SGD 70–120.

Qualifications

• Degree in English, Literature, Linguistics, or Early Childhood Education or related fields.
• Candidates currently pursuing a degree in relevant disciplines are welcome to apply.
• Prior teaching or group tutoring experience will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with the Singapore curriculum and assessments systems would be a plus.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classes of small groups, up to 8 students.
• Facilitate teaching of 2-hour lessons according to scheduled timetable.
• Deliver engaging and structured lessons using provided teaching materials and lesson plans.
• Maintain a positive and conducive classroom environment.
• Provide relevant feedback on students’ progress when required.
