Job summary

Pan Pacific Hotels Group in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for the maintenance and repair of the hotel’s machinery, equipment, building, fixtures and facilities, and for executing preventive maintenance.

The role supports the Maintenance supervisor, performs preventive and breakdown maintenance, and ensures that engineering services meet guests' needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic skills in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing building equipment.
• Willingness to work as a team member.
• Basic knowledge of hotel maintenance and management.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and building engineering.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skill is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair hotel machinery, equipment, building and facilities.
• Assist maintenance supervisor in day-to-day operations.
• Supervise maintenance crew and ensure timely, quality work.
• Participate in fire safety and emergency drills.
• Ensure hotel properties remain in good condition and safe for guests.

Job description

Position summary statement:

To be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the hotel’s machinery, equipment, building, fixtures and facilities, execution for preventive maintenance, to help the Maintenance supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance Department and to perform all preventive, breakdown maintenance and repair of all M&E services and building works.

Service Standardization

• a) To oversee the implementation of preventive management and repair schedules of all hotel machinery, equipment and facilities.
• b) Assist supervisor and senior technician in the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance Department.
• c) Supervise and delegate work promptly to the Maintenance crew and ensure that work is properly done.
• d) Participate in fire-fighting and safety exercise. The following personal qualities and characteristics are required by a person in the position to perform the tasks to the defined standards

Other Responsibilities

Customers

• a) To ensure that hotel management is satisfied with the quality of services rendered by the maintenance department.
• b) To ensure that the hotel guests receive an adequate level of engineering services this satisfies their concerns and needs.

Corporate Assets

• a) To ensure that the hotel’s properties, facilities, etc are keep in good working condition thereby protecting its long term investment value.

Person Specifications

• a) Basic skills in maintaining, troubles-hooting and repairing of building equipment.
• b) Willingness to work as a team member.
• c) Basic knowledge of Hotel Maintenance and Management
• d) Basic Sound knowledge of Mechanical / Electrical / Building Engineering
• e) Basic electrical control trouble-shooting skill will be good
