Job summary

• Possess Class 1 Boiler Attendant certificate is highly preferred.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates utility equipment including boilers, air compressors, RTO, chillers, cooling towers and wastewater systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance with focus on safety and GMP compliance where applicable.
• Ensure permit-to-work procedures are strictly followed during all tasks.
• Manage MRO inventory and document equipment history and spare parts consumption.
• Supervise field contractors to ensure safe, high-quality work and timely completion.
• Lead TPM initiatives and drive continuous improvement in utilities and facilities.

Engineering Supervisor (Utilities & Facilities), Singapore

The Utilities & Facilities Engineering Supervisor oversees the operation and maintenance of key utility systems including chillers, boilers, HVAC/ACMV and wastewater facilities. The role manages preventive and corrective maintenance, monitors MRO inventory, supervises contractors and ensure compliance with safety, GMP and food safety standards. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, develop work instructions and deputize for the U&F Manager as required.

The Position:

• Operates utility equipment including boilers, air compressors, RTO, chillers, cooling towers and hot water and wastewater systems

• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment with a strong focus on safety and compliance including food safety standards.

• Ensure strict adherence to the permit-to-work system during all work processes.

• Perform activities related to pest control, cleaning management, fire protection systems, wastewater management, air- conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) and utility assets.

• Actively participate in and contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Ensure all work processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards

• Identify and manage Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) spare parts inventory maintained in stores.

• Complete work orders and maintain related documentation including equipment history, spare parts consumption and inventory balance in stores.

• Supervise field contractors to ensure work is performed safely while maintaining the quality standards.

• Actively participate in development of work instructions and conducting root cause analyses of equipment failures.

• Use CMMS system to create, document and complete work orders efficiently

• Lead, schedule and execute CAPEX projects with minimum supervision

• Lead a team and manage leave, overtime and other administrative tasks as assigned by the Utilities & Facilities Engineer/Manager

• Serve as the subject matter expert for multiple assets such as chillers, boilers and other utility systems.

• Able to deputize and assume responsibilities of the Utilities and Facilities Manager when required.

• Provide technical support to regional sites for troubleshooting and maintenance issues.

• Perform other engineering/administrative tasks as assigned by the Engineer or Manager.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Diploma or NITEC in a relevant technical field, with minimum 5-6 years of working experience in utility/maintenance operations.
