UNITED TEST AND ASSEMBLY CENTER LTD is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer in Singapore to plan, manage and improve preventive/predictive maintenance for facilities systems. You will respond to issues, perform root cause analysis and support continuous improvement across utilities and processes.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years in manufacturing. SCEM certification is an added advantage; strong communication and teamwork are essential

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
  • SCEM certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Review, plan, manage and improve cost-effective preventive/predictive maintenance programs for facilities systems.
  • Respond to feedback/issues and troubleshoot to restore normal operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Review and evaluate system capacity and performance for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze utilities consumption to detect anomalies and support Sustainability Initiatives.
  • Maintain procedures/specifications in the Global Documentation Management System.
  • Keep records of maintenance, drawings, plant histories and auditable documents.
  • Manage inventories of spares, consumables, and resources for daily operations.
  • Support planning, design and management of expansion/upgrading projects.
  • Assist audits (ISO, IATF, RBA, VDA, EAL6, customers) and ensure compliance.
  • Provide guidance to duty staff and share knowledge for continuous operation improvement.
  • Manage energy, water, gases, and sustainability data including compliance reporting.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Review, plan, manage and improve cost effective preventive/predictive maintenance programs for facilities system, ensuring good system reliability and optimum efficiency
  • Respond to feedback/issues and troubleshoot issues to restore normal operations
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement action plans to prevent recurrence
  • Review and evaluate system capacity and performance to recommend/implement continuous improvement plans
  • Perform analysis of utilities consumption for early detection of anomalies and collaborate with Sustainability Team/Operation for Sustainability Initiatives/Projects to reduce the consumption
  • Review, maintain and update procedures/specification in Global Documentation Management System
  • Maintain proper records of maintenance, drawings, plant histories, and other auditable documentations
  • Review and manage inventories of appropriate spares, consumables, and other resources necessary for the day-to-day operation
  • Support planning, design, and management of expansion/upgrading/improvement projects
  • Support audits (i.e. ISO, IATF, RBA, VDA, EAL6, Customers, etc) and ensure its compliance
  • Provide guidance to duty staffs and knowledge sharing with fellow colleagues to continue strengthen the operation
  • Resources management (i.e. energy, water, gases, etc) including analysis & submission of sustainability data/performance as well as Energy Conservation Act (ECA) & Water Efficiency Management Plan (WEMP) submissions to ensure compliance to relevant authorities’ requirements
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
  • ACMV, DI Water, CDA, Vacuum, Gases, WWTP, Electrical System experience would be an advantage
  • Certified Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) will be an added advantage
  • Good communication skills and a team player
