Job summary

Nxera in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead Tenant Fit-out and A&A works for data center projects, with a focus on sustainability, connectivity and safe delivery. You will develop project master programs, budgets, SOWs, and manage tender processes while coordinating with engineering, energy & sustainability teams and external consultants.

Daily field oversight, strict cost control, and reading architectural, structural and M&E drawings are essential to ensure

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in project management or construction management on live data center projects
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or Architecture
• CDCP / CDCS or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and cost control skills
• Ability to read design/construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, M&E)

Responsibilities

• Manage Data Center project execution for Tenant Fit out and A&A works
• Execute end to end project initiation process
• Respond to customer technical RFI and provide cost estimates for RFP and A&A works
• Develop project master program, project charter and set up project processes
• Source suitable specialist, subject matter experts, and design consultants for the project delivery team
• Hands-on involvement in initial design and solution for fit out and A&A prior to consultants engagement
• Translate business requirements into executable project deliverables
• Prepare project budget and manage cashflow within approved budgets
• Lead project tender, drafting SOW and specifications, and administrative processes
• Provide timely and accurate reporting of project progress and expenditure
• Prepare sourcing, recommendation and approval papers
• Familiar with Data Center risk redundancy configurations and requirements
• Oversee environment, safety and occupational health implementation on site
• Read design/construction drawings across disciplines (Architectural, Structural, M&E)

• Prepare project budget capital funding, manage approved project capital funding cashflow and spending within approved budgets.

• Prepare sourcing, recommendation and approval paper
• Familiar with Data Canter risk redundancy configurations and requirement
• Day to day construction oversight to ensure the project are carrying our safely complying with EHS requirement, on schedule, cost efficient that is within approved budget and compliance with specification.
• Knowledgeable preferably in various M&E critical systems (e.g. UPS, Generator, Chiller, Cooling Tower) requirement including testing and commissioning (i.e. FAT, SAT, IST)
• Liaise with Engineering, Energy & Sustainability and DC Operation colleagues for project requirements.
• Oversee to ensure Environment, Safety and Occupational Health implementation by project contractors.
• Resourceful and excellent problem-solving skills, timely escalation to superior.
• Ability in reading design and construction drawings for all fields (Architectural, Structural, M&E, etc.)

Skills for Success

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in project management or construction management with proven track records in “ live” data center projects.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or Architecture.
• Preferable with CDCP / CDCS or equivalent certificate
• Possess good leadership, team player and good problem-solving skills
• Possess good communication skills in English and with attention to detail
• Good communication in English and negotiation skills
• Good financial knowledge to oversee project cost control and management
• Willing to walk the ground verifying field progress and fronting customer for technical clarification.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office and familiar with AutoCAD
