Job summary

NXERA SG PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Project/Construction Manager to drive live data center projects, focusing on Tenant Fit-out and A&A works.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, coordinate with engineering and sustainability teams, and ensure safety, schedule, and cost objectives are met. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture or related fields, with 8+ years in project management for data centers and a CDCP/CDCS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management or construction management on live data center projects.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or Architecture.
• CDCP / CDCS or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Data Center project delivery for Tenant Fit-out and A&A works.
• Execute end-to-end project initiation and planning.
• Respond to customer technical RFIs and provide cost estimates for RFP/A&A works.
• Develop project master program, project charter and set up project processes.
• Source specialists, design consultants and SMEs for project delivery.
• Lead tender and draft SOW and specifications; manage administration.
• Balance budgets, funding and cashflow within approved limits.
• Oversee EHS compliance and progress reporting to management.
• Read and interpret Architectural, Structural and M&E drawings.

Make an Impact by

• Manage Data Center project execution for Tenant Fit out and A&A works
• Execute end to end project initiation process
• Response to customer technical RFI and provide cost estimate for RFP and A&A works
• Development of project master program, project charter and set up project processes
• Sourcing for suitable specialist, subject matter experts, design consultants to be part of project delivery team.
• Hands on to initial design and solution for fit out and A&A works prior consultants engagement
• Translate business requirement/plan into executable project deliverables
• Prepare project budget capital funding, manage approved project capital funding cashflow and spending within approved budgets.
• Lead project tender, drafting SOW and specification where required and administration processes
• Timely and accurately reporting of project progress and expenditure to management
• Prepare sourcing, recommendation and approval paper
• Familiar with Data Canter risk redundancy configurations and requirement
• Day to day construction oversight to ensure the project are carrying our safely complying with EHS requirement, on schedule, cost efficient that is within approved budget and compliance with specification.
• Knowledgeable preferably in various M&E critical systems (e.g. UPS, Generator, Chiller, Cooling Tower) requirement including testing and commissioning (i.e. FAT, SAT, IST)
• Liaise with Engineering, Energy & Sustainability and DC Operation colleagues for project requirements.
• Oversee to ensure Environment, Safety and Occupational Health implementation by project contractors.
• Resourceful and excellent problem-solving skills, timely escalation to superior.
• Ability in reading design and construction drawings for all fields (Architectural, Structural, M&E, etc.)

Skills for Success

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in project management or construction management with proven track records in " live" data center projects.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or Architecture.
• Preferable with CDCP / CDCS or equivalent certificate
• Possess good leadership, team player and good problem-solving skills
• Possess good communication skills in English and with attention to detail
• Good communication in English and negotiation skills
• Good financial knowledge to oversee project cost control and management
• Willing to walk the ground verifying field progress and fronting customer for technical clarification.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office and familiar with AutoCAD
