Job summary

Talentvis Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Singapore and Vietnam engineering teams, ensuring safe, feasible, buildable and cost-effective solutions for high-tech aluminium shipbuilding projects.

You will provide leadership for technical aspects, oversee design deliverables, ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and coordinate with classification societies, clients and internal management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Senior Design Engineer or Naval Architect.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing an engineering design department.
• Proven history working with Aluminium in the Shipbuilding industry.
• Formal Naval Architect or Mechanical/Marine Engineering qualifications.
• Knowledge of Classification Society Rules and Flag Regulations.
• High level negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Engineers, Naval Architects, Designers and Drafters.
• Provide technical and design expertise.
• Schedule design deliverables to support project schedule.
• Ensure vessel designs meet contractual requirements and specifications.
• Oversee procurement-related technical reviews and documentation.
• Engage with Classification Societies, flag states and regulators.
• Resolve technical issues with OEMs, clients and authorities.
• Lead weight management and inclining/sea-trials related activities.
• Collaborate with GM, Engineering and Senior Management.
