Job summary

Firmus Technologies Pty Ltd. in Singapore seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Firmus AI Cloud, building scalable, reliable infrastructure that lets developers run AI workloads with minimal friction.

You will own people and delivery, growing engineers and shipping customer-facing software including APIs, control plane, web console, SDKs, CLI, and IaC providers. You’ll drive reliability, security, and cost efficiency while shaping the long-term technical direction and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 4+ years managing engineers, with direct ownership of hiring, growth, and performance for a team of at least 8 engineers.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI.
• 10+ years in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Strong user-facing API and control-plane design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team as the STO for squads, owning hiring, growth, and performance.
• Shape end-to-end delivery from roadmap to release, managing cross-squad dependencies.
• Set engineering quality bar and technical direction across squads.
• Own operational excellence: reliability, security, SLOs, on-call and incident management.
• Represent engineering in leadership and customer engagements, balancing roadmap with delivery.
