Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to mentor engineers, guide cross-functional teams, and drive end-to-end technical delivery. You will partner with PMs, UX, and SWE managers to translate goals into actionable plans and oversee their successful execution across multiple projects.

You will collaborate with customers to understand challenges, design innovative solutions, and evolve systems for future success while managing a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years in people management or team leadership.
• Experience with full stack development across backend and frontend.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, manage, and foster the growth of talented engineers.
• Partner with Product Managers, UX, and cross-functional SWE managers to translate goals into engineering requirements, plan and oversee execution.
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand challenges, define problems, design solutions, and guide implementation.
• Develop a clear portfolio of projects aligned with team capabilities and business objectives.
• Own the team's current portfolio of products, ensure ongoing business value, triage issues, and evolve the system for future success.
