Job summary

AEROSPACE COMPONENT ENGINEERING SERVICES PTE. LIMITED is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee safe, compliant engineering support for MRO activities and lead the Engineering team. You will ensure airworthiness, regulatory alignment, and technical excellence across maintenance operations.

Lead adoption of OEM standards, manage documentation, and coordinate with Quality and Operations while guiding auditors and driving continuous improvement in the engineering function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of technical experience in aircraft maintenance engineering, technical services, airworthiness roles, or similar Part 145 MRO.
• Expert knowledge of aviation OEM standards, Part 145 regulations, and specialized MRO practices.
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and regulatory documents.
• Regulatory training in FAA/CAAS/EASA regulations (e.g. Part 145, Part M/CAMO, SMS, Human Factors).
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; multitask across engineering projects.
• Experience in capability development, reliability programs, maintenance planning, technical support and documentation advantageous.
• Project management certification considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all engineering activities comply with Part 145 requirements, procedures, and regulations.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation and compliance with OEM standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality and Operations to ensure compliance and MOE support.
• Act as Technical focal to regulators (EASA/CAAM/FAA/CAA) during audits, findings, and corrective actions.
• Review and advise on Airworthiness Directives, OEM Service Bulletins, and airworthiness data.
• Coordinate day-to-day engineering, production, and business needs with technical oversight and QA.
• Lead new product capabilities development and manage product lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams on troubleshooting and standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Engineering Department with required resources.

About the role

The Engineering Manager is responsible for safe, compliant, and effective engineering support for ACES' MRO capabilities. Leading the Engineering team within ACE Services, this role supports the organization to support continued airworthiness, technical compliance, maintenance support, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirement and engineering standards defined by the organization's Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE). The role will review engineering competencies and capabilities to meet future business demands and needs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all engineering activities comply with Part 145 requirements, company procedures, and applicable aviation regulations
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation and compliance with OEM standards and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Quality and Operations departments to ensure compliance and support to organization MOE
• Act as Technical focal (Nominated Personnel) to the regulators (EASA/CAAM/FAA/CAA) during audits, findings, and corrective actions phases
• Review and advise compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs), OEM Service Bulletins (SBs), and continuing airworthiness data
• Support interdepartmental coordination for day-to-day engineering, production, and business needs while maintaining technical oversight and quality assurance
• Spearhead new product capabilities development, technical solutions and manage existing product lifecycle
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams on troubleshooting, defect rectification, and technical standards
• Lead, mentor and develop the Engineering Department, ensuring appropriate resources and competencies development

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10 years technical experience in aircraft maintenance engineering, technical services, airworthiness roles, or in a similar Part 145 Maintenance Organisation
• Expert knowledge of aviation OEM standards, Part 145 regulations, and specialized MRO maintenance practices
• Ability to accurately interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and regulatory documents
• Obtained relevant regulatory training in FAA/CAAS/EASA regulations (e.g. Part 145, Part M/CAMO, SMS, Human Factors)
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to multitask across various engineering projects to meet challenging deadlines and customer needs
• Experience in capability development, reliability programs, maintenance planning, technical support and technical documentation would be advantageous
• Project Management and/or Continuous Improvement Certification is considered a significant advantage
