Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations, manage technical teams, oversee engineering projects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable engineering solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical leadership, project planning, resource management, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

1. Lead, manage, and supervise engineering teams to achieve operational and project objectives.
2. Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects from initial design and development through implementation and completion.
3. Develop engineering strategies, technical standards, policies, and procedures in line with company objectives.
4. Review engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and project documentation.
5. Manage project schedules, budgets, manpower allocation, materials, and other engineering resources.
6. Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable Singapore regulations, safety standards, quality requirements, and industry best practices.
7. Identify technical issues, assess engineering risks, and implement effective solutions to minimise project delays and operational disruptions.
8. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other departments on technical and project-related matters.
9. Monitor project progress, engineering performance, productivity, and quality standards, and prepare regular management reports.
10. Lead the development and implementation of process improvements, cost-control measures, and innovative engineering solutions.
11. Conduct technical reviews, evaluate project performance, and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
12. Recruit, train, mentor, and develop engineering personnel to strengthen team capabilities and performance.
13. Evaluate new technologies, engineering systems, and equipment to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
14. Provide technical advice and recommendations to senior management on engineering strategies, project feasibility, and resource planning.
15. Ensure proper maintenance of engineering records, technical documents, inspection reports, and project-related records.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Extensive relevant experience in engineering management, project execution, and technical operations.
• Proven leadership, team management, and project management capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, technical standards, quality control, and workplace safety requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, deadlines, and cross-functional teams effectively.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software, technical documentation, and project management tools.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
