Qualifications

• Relevant experience in laboratory, workshop or technical support environments.
• Experience in asset management, inventory control and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of laboratory/workshop safety practices and equipment maintenance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems or processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain School of engineering laboratories and workshops, including equipment, tools and training systems.
• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs of laboratory and workshop equipment.
• Manage assets, stores and inventory, including asset tagging, stock control and regular inventory checks.
• Handle procurement of equipment, tools, consumables and training materials.
• Prepare, issue and maintain laboratory and workshop training materials and equipment.
• Support the setup and operational readiness of labs and workshops for practical training and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, institutional procedures and equipment handling requirements.
• Maintain documentation and records related to maintenance, inventory, procurement and safety.
• Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO) by ensuring facilities and records are audit ready.
• Perform any other operational or administrative duties as assigned.
