Job summary

Siemens in Singapore invites a motivated student to join our team as an AI and software engineering intern. You will explore AI, digital twin, and automation trends, develop prototypes, and support AI-driven applications for industrial use.

You will work on system integration, data analysis, and participate in workshops and proof-of-concept presentations, learning from experienced engineers while contributing to ongoing automation and digitalization projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science.
• Foundational programming knowledge with exposure to Python, Java, C/C++, or JavaScript.
• Interest in AI and software development with exposure to AI-driven applications or intelligent systems.
• Basic data analysis skills and ability to handle and interpret data.
• Curious, self-motivated and able to learn independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging technologies (AI, digital twin, OT cybersecurity, automation) to support innovation.
• Develop software prototypes and proofs-of-concepts for new technologies and digitalization capabilities.
• Support AI projects by testing and assessing AI-driven applications for industrial use cases.
• Contribute to industrial automation and digitalization through software and engineering projects.
• Assist with system integration and data analysis by linking applications with industrial platforms and generating insights.
• Support customer-facing activities by helping prepare technical demos, workshops, and PoC presentations.

Your defining qualities:

• Currently pursuing a relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Foundational programming knowledge with exposure to languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, or JavaScript.
• Interest in AI and software development with an understanding of AI-driven applications, intelligent systems, or agent-based technologies.
• Basic data analysis skills with familiarity in handling, processing, and interpreting data.
• Curious and self-motivated mindset with a strong willingness to learn and explore new technologies independently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and work effectively within a team.
