Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Engineering Assistant I to support production lines with changeovers, maintenance and process improvements. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues, perform tool and fixture modifications, and assist with NPIs and line balancing to boost UPH.

The role requires a Nitec or Diploma in Engineering and at least 1 year of equipment maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in equipment maintenance related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical and pneumatic.
• Knowledge of PCBA equipment and process related knowledge is preferred.
• Proficient in computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out product changeover in a timely manner according to schedule and product process specification.
• Take necessary action to improve line efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot and rectify process problems such as soldering quality issues with analysis or root cause.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment problems in order to prevent the equipment from breakdown during production run.
• Carry out improvement and modification on hand tools, jigs and fixtures used on the production line.
• Carry out feeder maintenance and repair work.
• Perform ESD verification on work benches and equipment.
• Support project work for line improvement to achieve optimum efficiency.
• Support NPI activities; pick & place program editing, perform line balancing and UPH improvement to production line.
• Carry out preventive maintenance production equipment, production tools and fixtures.
• Support Wave soldering machine, tasks similar to SMT.
• Support Plant Facility as and when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
