Job summary

HYC (SINGAPORE), INC. PTE. LTD. is looking for an engineering professional to undertake new product development and sustain engineering projects. This role includes researching automation technologies, developing installation plans, and performing full lifecycle product development from design to implementation.

The ideal candidate will drive equipment optimization, work with customers to gather requirements, and collaborate on problem-solving during installation and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new product development or involve in sustaining engineering.
• Research new automation technologies for optimization.
• Develop equipment installation and validation plans.
• Perform full lifecycle product development from design to implementation.
• Create fabrication, assembly, and layout drawings.
• Select and size components available off the shelf.
• Document machine BOM, work instructions, and PPT presentations.
• Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and feedback.
• Assist in problem-solving during installation and manufacturing.
• Drive equipment optimization and quality assurance activities.
• Estimate budget and project scope.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Undertake new product development or be involved in sustaining engineering/CIPs.
• Research new automation technologies and continuousimprovement for performance and system optimization.
• Develop plan for equipment installation and validation atcustomer site or main business site.
• Perform a full lifecycle product development (design,develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement).
• Design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA)and Concurrent engineering.
• Developed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings andlayout drawings.
• Selection and sizing of standard components available offthe shelf.
• Documentation: Machine BOM, Work Instruction, PPT forpresentation.
• Work with customer to gather requirements, review designswith customers, gather feedback and create execution plan.
• Work with customers and team to solve problems duringinstallation and volume manufacturing.
• Drive equipment optimization, quality assurance, costreduction activities and improve user experience activities.
• Estimate budget and scope of project.
• Other duties/activities as assigned by management.
