Job summary

Best World Lifestyle Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a senior professional to lead our Automation and IT function within a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment. You will be the system owner for Industrial 4.0, ERP, MES, BMS, ASRS and PLCs, and will manage capital projects from scoping through testing and commissioning.

• Lead and manage Automation and IT function with capable resources to meet functional goals.
• System owner for Industrial 4.0 and digital manufacturing automation system including ERP, MES, BMS, ASRS, and PLCs.
• Support installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, system verification, and address technical issues during capital projects.
• Jointly develop integrated test requirements between systems and lead the testing.
• Develop protocol and perform automation system installation and operation verification.
• Manage automation and IT projects during the commercial phase including scope, cost estimates, scheduling, engineering, implementation, testing, and verification.
• Develop maintenance strategy and execute automation and IT system maintenance, testing and instrument calibration.
• Identify and manage critical spare parts for routine production.
• Develop automation-related SOPs.
• Maintain automation and IT systems, perform repairs, functional testing, and CAPA follow-up to prevent disruptions.
• Plan maintenance, execution, and adherence to schedule.
• Troubleshoot/disruptions; implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Provide end-user training on the process control system.
• Identify and lead automation projects to improve efficiency or machine/process capability.
• Ensure GMP, regulatory, ISO, EHS standards compliance and policy adherence.
• Maintain workplace safety and report EHS/GMP deficiencies to management.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading and managing Automation and IT function, ensuring the right resources with appropriate skills and capabilities to always meet functional goals.
• System owner for Industrial 4.0 and digital manufacturing automation system includes ERP, MES, BMS, ASRS, and respective production machine PLCs or automatic devices.
• Support installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, system verification, and resolving any technical issues that arise during different phases of capital project.
• Jointly develop integrated test requirements between systems and lead the testing.
• Develop protocol and perform automation system installation and operation verification.
• Manage and deliver automation and IT projects during the commercial phase which includes developing project scope, cost estimates, scheduling, engineering, implementation, testing, and verification.
• Develop the required maintenance strategy & task; establish and execute automation and IT system maintenance, functional testing, and instrument calibration program.
• Identify and manage critical spare parts in supporting routine production.
• Develops automation-related SOPs.
• Responsible for routine Automation & IT systems maintenance, repair, functional testing, and instrument calibration activities to achieve agreed service level KPIs.
• Responsible for maintenance planning, execution, and adherence to schedule.
• Perform troubleshooting/ investigation for any disruption/ failure. Recommend and follow up with the corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) to eliminate similar disruption/ failure.
• Provide training to end users on the process control system.
• Identify and lead automation projects to increase efficiency or machine/process capability.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, ISO standards, EHS standards, and other relevant policies/standards.
• Ensure workplace safety and be responsible for notifying Management in a timely manner of EHS/GMP deficiencies.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
