The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering with at least 2 years’ hands-on experience in UPW or water treatment, and is proficient in AUTOCAD; knowledge of piping

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with UPW, recycling, or wastewater treatment systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute project and service jobs for UPW, recycling, and wastewater treatment equipment and systems to meet project specifications and timelines.
• Liaise with material suppliers, equipment vendors, and internal installation teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with fabrication superintendent on mechanical and piping prefabrication materials to support project execution.
• Conduct site surveys for mechanical and piping disciplines, including preparation of detailed site survey reports.
• Prepare work packages for mechanical and piping disciplines to guide project activities.
• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of piping technicians to ensure quality workmanship and safety.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute project and service jobs for UPW, recycling, and wastewater treatment equipment and systems to meet project specifications and timelines
• Liaise with material suppliers, equipment vendors, and internal installation teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications
• Collaborate closely with fabrication superintendent on mechanical and piping prefabrication materials to support project execution
• Conduct site surveys for mechanical and piping disciplines, including preparation of detailed site survey reports
• Prepare work packages for mechanical and piping disciplines to guide project activities
• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of piping technicians to ensure quality workmanship and safety
• Inspect and evaluate piping systems to identify issues and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and ensure timely project completion
• Execute assignments as directed by immediate superiors or management to support operational goals
• Familiar with P&ID, GA, Isometric drawings, rotating machineries, material handling equipment, tanks and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Perform hands-on field site testing and commissioning to validate system performance
• Operate and maintain existing water treatment plants to ensure continuous and efficient operations
• Troubleshoot water systems and respond promptly to emergencies to minimize downtime
• Propose system improvements and modifications in collaboration with the engineering team to enhance customer solutions
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand and meet system requirements, maintaining a professional and positive attitude
• Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary engineering teams to achieve project and operational objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent professional certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with UPW, recycling, or wastewater treatment systems

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in AUTOCAD software, with experience in piping isometric drawings considered an advantage
• Experience with mechanical equipment and piping work in water treatment plants
• Demonstrated independence, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective interpersonal skills as a team player
