Job summary

CTCI Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead UPW and related process water systems installation at semiconductor facilities. The role requires hands-on oversight of high-purity piping, welding, and subcontractors.

You will review isometrics and P&IDs, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate commissioning activities from pre-commissioning to handover. English and Mandarin are preferred for ground-level supervision.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of high-purity piping, UPW, water treatment, MEP, or EPC construction experience.
  • MOM-accredited safety courses (e.g., BCSS / SSSC) certification is preferred; PVDF welding inspection certifications add advantage.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred for submittals and supervision.
  • Experience supervising high-purity piping fabrication and clean installation on site.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and piping specialists.
  • Ability to read piping isometrics, P&IDs, and layout specs.
  • Experience in semiconductor wafer fab, cleanroom, or pharma facilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UPW testing, flushing, and commissioning is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction and installation of UPW, process water, and wastewater systems.
  • Oversee high-purity piping (PVDF, clean PVC), pumps, tanks, RO/EDI units, UV sterilizers, filtration skids, and valve manifolds.
  • Verify weld quality and alignment for PVDF welding methods.
  • Coordinate piping installation with process equipment, tool hook-ups, and other MEP services.
  • Review piping isometrics, P&IDs, specs, and method statements.
  • Monitor supports, expansion provisions, cleanliness, and storage capping.
  • Coordinate pneumatic/hydrostatic testing, flushing, passivation, sanitization, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, workmanship, and progress.
  • Identify and resolve site coordination, piping routing, and interface issues.
  • Support system handover, QA/QC docs, and close-out activities.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and oversee the construction and installation of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Process Water, and Industrial Wastewater systems.
  • Supervise high-purity piping (PVDF, clean PVC), pumps, storage tanks, RO/EDI units, UV sterilizers, filtration skids, and valve manifolds.
  • Oversee advanced fusion welding methods (e.g., IR/butt fusion, beadless/BCF welding for PVDF) and verify weld quality, alignment, and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate piping installation with process equipment, tool hook-ups, and other MEP services.
  • Review piping drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, specifications, and method statements.
  • Monitor piping supports, thermal expansion provisions, cleanliness protocol, and capping during storage and assembly.
  • Coordinate pneumatic/hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, passivation, sanitization, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, workmanship, and construction progress.
  • Identify and resolve site coordination, piping routing, and interface issues.
  • Support system handover, QA/QC documentation, and close-out activities.
Requirements
  • Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant high-purity piping, UPW, water treatment, MEP, or EPC construction experience.
  • Certified in MOM-accredited safety courses (e.g., BCSS / SSSC); possession of CSCPM, Confined Space Safety Assessor/Supervisor, or PVDF welding inspection certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to handle both technical submittals and ground-level subcontractor supervision.
  • Proven ability to supervise high-purity plastic piping fabrication and clean installation on site.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and piping specialists.
  • Able to read and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and layout specifications.
  • Experience in semiconductor wafer fab, cleanroom, or pharmaceutical facility projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UPW system testing, flushing, and commissioning protocols is an advantage.
