Responsibilities

• The Facilities UPW/WW Engineer provides engineering support to oversee, plan and ensure proper operations and maintenance of the Ultra‑Pure Water (UPW) and Wastewater (WW) systems.
• He/she is expected to troubleshoot and respond to issues and interruptions of the systems.
• Handle and execute Ultra‑Pure Water and wastewater treatment systems engineering projects including upgrades, retrofits, expansion and maintenance.
• Provide exposure to the technology, allowing development of skills and knowledge for career growth and accelerated training in a fast‑paced work environment with cross‑functional opportunities.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of the Ultra‑Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Local Scrubber Recycling system (LSR) and other water treatment systems to maintain maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
• Coordinate and liaise with contractors/vendors to implement corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
• Study, plan and execute engineering projects and engineering solutions including upgrades, retrofits, system expansion and maintenance.
• Support and enforce safety compliance and government regulations.
• Initiate, evaluate, plan, design and supervise improvement/upgrading/new projects for relevant water systems.
• Propose, plan and execute water recycling projects to reduce overall water consumption whenever possible in meeting the long‑term sustainability goal.
• Plan, design and lead control automation engineering projects including new construction, system upgrading and quality improvement.
• Attain environmental sustainability roadmap through green initiatives.
• Improve water and waste recyclability rate by adopting new technology breakthroughs.
• Identify, evaluate, and potentially implement advanced technologies on water systems to improve electricity, waste or water reduction aligned to Micron Environment Sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in water treatment systems.
