Job description

DxD Hub (Diagnostics Development Hub - A*STAR)

DxD Hub is an end-to-end productisation partner, committed to transforming the MedTech landscape in Singapore through innovative solutions sourced from both local and regional partners. Our strengths are in cross-disciplinary product development, particularly in molecular diagnostics, protein immunoassays, and digital diagnostic technologies.

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager/Process Engineer who will take ownership of multiple concurrent projects — driving planning, resource and progress tracking, and cross-team coordination — while bringing an engineer's eye for process optimisation and automation. As a vital member of our team, you will keep complex, multi-disciplinary projects on track from proposal through delivery, ensuring progress stays aligned with timelines, resources, and deliverables.

The primary function of the role is project management: building and maintaining project plans, tracking resources and milestones across projects, surfacing risks early, coordinating across disciplines, and preparing project proposals. The secondary function is process optimisation: identifying and driving improvements to how work is done — across development and operations — to raise efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Product development is a supporting part of the role, though a strong working understanding of Target Product Profile (TPP) and Product Requirement Document (PRD) methodology is important, so the project develop is aligned at all time with user and clinical needs.

Candiate will be comfortable operating in a regulated MedTech environment (e.g. ISO 13485) and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management (primary)
  • Own and drive execution of multiple concurrent projects: build and maintain project plans, timelines, and workplans.
  • Track resources across projects — people, budget, and equipment — and coordinate allocation to keep projects appropriately staffed and on schedule.
  • Track progress against milestones, surface risks and dependencies early, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Coordinate across design, engineering, assay/chemistry, quality, and other functions to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Prepare and write project proposals, covering scope, milestones, resourcing, and budget.
  • Report progress, risks, and decisions clearly to project stakeholders and management.
Process optimisation (secondary)
  • Identify and drive improvements to processes and workflows — across development and operations — to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and process-improvement methods (e.g. root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, Design of Experiments) to remove bottlenecks and reduce variability.
  • Standardise and document ways of working so improvements are repeatable and sustained across projects.
Product development support (minor)
  • Apply a strong working understanding of TPP and PRD methodology to translate user and clinical needs into clear, testable requirements and hold projects to them.
  • Support the wider team in linking design and engineering decisions back to product requirements and user needs.
Key Requirements
Project management
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects through a full lifecycle, from proposal to delivery.
  • Strong skills in project planning, resource management, milestone and progress tracking, and risk management.
  • Experience preparing project proposals (scope, schedule, resourcing, and budget).
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Project management certification is advantageous.
Process engineering / optimisation
  • Experience identifying and driving process and workflow improvements with measurable gains in efficiency, quality, or cost.
  • Familiarity with process-improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong working understanding of TPP and PRD methodology, and how to translate needs into requirements.
Domain and general
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, a life-science / biological discipline, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years in project management and/or process / product development, ideally in a technical, MedTech, or regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of medical device regulations and quality systems (such as ISO 13485).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders and summarise complex problems in simple terms.
  • Comfort navigating uncertain situations without clear guidelines, and adaptability to changing conditions and priorities.
  • Curiosity and a proactive approach to gathering the information needed for decision-making.
