Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd is seeking an Intelligent Process Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated systems for engineering workflows. You will drive AI adoption, data analytics, and automated processes across project management, document control, and resource planning.

The role emphasizes integrating EDMS and ERP platforms, building AI-enabled knowledge management, and delivering dashboard-driven insights to leadership while maintaining governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, AI or related technical discipline with automation focus.
• Experience with intelligent process automation, including familiarity with RPA, AI-based analytics, and software development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking with ability to translate complex processes into automated workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across design engineers, project managers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI and digital transformation initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Develop and manage automated engineering, document control, and reporting workflows using Power Platform and other tools.
• Implement AI-powered engineering solutions, including AI agents and intelligent search capabilities.
• Support integration and optimization of digital engineering systems (EDMS, SharePoint, PLM, ERP).
• Create dashboards and management reports with Power BI and automate performance analytics.
• Establish digital knowledge repositories and AI-enabled information retrieval systems.
• Ensure governance, cybersecurity, and compliance with AI governance framework and ISO standards.
• Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement projects evaluating new technologies.
• Handle ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by EDC Management.

Purpose of Role:

As an Engineer in Intelligent Process Automation, you will be entrusted with the design, development, and implementation of automated systems that streamline complex engineering workflows. Your expertise will drive integration of intelligent technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning algorithms, and data analytics to improve project delivery timelines and accuracy across marine engineering projects.

Job Summary :

The Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) Specialist is responsible for driving digital transformation, process automation, artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, and data analytics initiatives within EDC. The role focuses on identifying opportunities to automate engineering and business processes, improving productivity, strengthening knowledge management, and implementing AI-enabled solutions to support engineering, project management, document control, and resource planning activities. The position supports EDC strategic objectives of digitalisation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive AI and Digital Transformation Initiatives: Lead the adoption and implementation of AI, automation, and digital solutions to improve EDC productivity and operational efficiency.
2. Develop and Manage Process Automation Solutions: Identify opportunities to automate engineering, document control, reporting, and business workflows using Power Platform and other automation tools.
3. Implement AI-Powered Engineering Solutions: Develop and maintain AI agents, Copilot solutions, knowledge repositories, and intelligent search capabilities to support engineering operations.
4. Manage Digital Engineering Systems Integration: Support integration and optimisation of engineering platforms such as EDMS, SharePoint, PLM, ERP, and related enterprise systems.
5. Develop Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Solutions: Create dashboards, automated reports, and performance analytics using Power BI and other data visualisation tools to support management decision-making.
6. Enhance Knowledge and Information Management: Establish and maintain digital knowledge repositories, document management frameworks, and AI-enabled information retrieval systems.
7. Ensure Governance, Compliance, and Cybersecurity: Support compliance with ISO 9001, AI Governance Framework, cybersecurity requirements, and information management policies.
8. Lead Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive Kaizen, productivity improvement, and innovation projects while evaluating emerging technologies to enhance engineering and business processes
9. Any other Ad-hoc responsibilities by EDC Management.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with design engineers, project managers, and technical teams.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced engineering environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.

• Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
