Job summary

Tiong Seng Contractors (Pte) Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Engineer (C&S) to assist the Planning Manager and Project Manager with on-site technical matters, planning, and coordination to ensure design, schedule and quality compliance across multiple disciplines.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and 4–5 years of building project experience, with preference for those familiar with Precast/PPVC/MET and BIM workflows. Strong independence and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognized by PE Board/ BCA.
• 4-5 years experience in Building Engineering projects; senior candidate considered.
• Experience with Precast/PPVC/MET projects is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM.
• Organized, meticulous with positive work attitude.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good analytical, supervision, and communication skills.
• QM project completed and Core-trade Foremen/Supervisor qualification would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist Planning Manager or Project Manager in on-site technical/engineering matters and submissions.
• Prepare submission of shop drawings / Materials / MOS / Monthly Progress Claims and PM Reports.
• Plan sequence of structure work and micro scheduling with other trades against Master program.
• Assist in procurement input for structure work subcontractors.
• Track structural/architectural/M&E progress with scheduling tools.
• Supervise project execution to meet SOPs, quality, and contractual specs.
• Check TOP checklist compliance.
• Inspection activities and documentation.
• Ensure EHS practices at all times.

Job description

As a Engineer (C&S), you will assist the Planning Manager or Project Manager in all technical and site coordination matters, ensuring that construction works are executed according to design, schedule, and quality standards. You will support project delivery through detailed planning, compliance monitoring, and on-site execution across various disciplines.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

Technical & Engineering Support:

• Assist Planning Manager or Project Manager in all on-site technical/ engineering matters and authority submissions.
• Prepare submission of shop drawing / Materials / MOS/ Monthly Progress Claims and PM Reports.
• Plan the sequence of structure work and resources, and micro scheduling with other trades/disciplines against Master program.
• Assist in preparing the input for procurement of the structure work subcontractors.
• Tracking structural/architectural/M&E progress with scheduling tools.

Site Supervision & Coordination:

• Supervise and ensure that project execution complies with company SOPs, quality standards, and contractual specifications.
• Check and ensure compliance with TOP checklist requirements.
• Responsible for inspection activities and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices at all times.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognized by PE Board/ BCA
• 4-5 years experience in Building Engineering projects, more experienced candidate will be considered as senior engineer
• Experience with Precast/PPVC/MET projects will be a plus
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and knowledge of BIM
• Organized, meticulous with positive work attitude
• Able to work independently and a team player
• Good analytical, supervision, and communication skills
• Completed QM project and a registered Core-trade Foremen/ Supervisor would be an added advantage
