Job summary

D' Perception Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified M&E Design Engineer to coordinate M&E design with various disciplines and ensure adherence to Singapore standards. You will design and review HVAC, fire protection, lighting, and power systems, prepare design calculations, and support tender processes.

The role requires at least 2 years in interior Fitting Out M&E in Singapore, strong tendering and costing capabilities, and a citizen of Singapore.

Qualifications

• Local degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Building or equivalent (BCA approved).
• Min 2 years of Interior Fitting Out M&E experience in Singapore.
• Able to prepare M&E design write-ups, tender specifications, and tender interview slides.
• Must understand tender preparation and submission process.
• Must have experience in project costing and estimating.
• Must know BCA Green Mark requirements.
• Singapore citizens.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate M&E design with other disciplines for smooth integration.
• Design and review M&E systems (HVAC, fire protection, lighting, power).

• Assist client for Value Engineering.
• Conversant with Singapore building codes and regulations.
• Demonstrate effective communication and consultative skills.

• Monitor project progress and develop solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Supervise and inspect the installation of M&E systems for compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits and liaise with contractors for quality control.
• Ensure M&E works meet safety and environmental regulations.
• Oversee commissioning and testing of M&E systems.
• Prepare regular reports on M&E progress for stakeholders.
• Ensure project documentation (as-built drawings, operation manuals, maintenance schedules).
• Preparation of Variation Orders to clients and valuation of Vendor’s progress claims.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

• Local Degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Building or equivalent approved by BCA

• Min 2 years of relevant working experience in Interior Fitting Out M&E Works in Singapore

• Knowledge on how to prepare M&E technical design, technical write-up, prepare tender specifications and presentation slide for tender interviews

• MUST understand the process of tender preparation and submission

• MUST have experience in project costing and estimating

• MUST know BCA Green Mark Requirement

• Highly self-motivated, good working attitude with high level of professionalism & integrity

• Singapore citizens only
