Job summary

MANHA ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee site construction activities from planning through handover.

You will review drawings, prepare methods and ITPs, plan resources, and coordinate with consultants and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will manage subcontractors, oversee QA/QC processes, coordinate BIM information where applicable, and lead technical coordination across architectural, structural, and M&E

Responsibilities

• Pre-Construction / Planning: Review contract drawings, specifications, BOQ and tender documents; identify discrepancies, constructability issues and potential clashes; assist Project Manager in preparing the construction programme.
• Prepare method statements, inspection and test plans (ITP), work procedures and construction sequences; coordinate requirements with consultants and subcontractors.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment and site resources; attend pre-construction and coordination meetings; assist with authority submission and approval requirements.
• Site Construction Management: Ensure alignment with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project schedule and QA/QC requirements.
• Site mobilisation and temporary works planning; earthworks and excavation; piling and foundation works; basement construction; reinforced concrete works.
• Structural steel works; precast works; masonry and partition works; waterproofing & roofing.
• Façade and cladding; architectural finishes; doors, windows and metal works; M&E coordination; external works and landscaping.
• Technical Coordination: Review shop drawings and submissions; coordinate architectural, structural and M&E interfaces; check dimensions, levels and openings.
• Coordinate consultant responses; review subcontractor proposals; identify design clashes and constructability problems; ensure revisions are implemented on site; coordinate BIM/model information where applicable.
• Subcontractor Management: Brief subcontractors on drawings and construction requirements; coordinate daily work activities; monitor progress; manage manpower and deliveries.
• Ensure subcontractors follow approved method statements; monitor productivity; resolve on-site technical problems; coordinate interfaces between trades; verify completed works before consultant inspections.
• Quality Control / QAQC: Conduct site inspections; prepare inspection requests; coordinate inspections with consultants; check reinforcement, formwork, concrete works and tests; monitor waterproofing.
• Monitor material testing and workmanship; issue and track inspection records; document defects and corrective actions; manage NCRs.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation; prepare records for project handover.
• Safety / WSH: Ensure work follows risk assessments and method statements; participate in toolbox talks; identify unsafe conditions; coordinate with WSH Officer; monitor height safety controls.
• Check excavation and temporary works controls; coordinate lifting operations; ensure barricading and access.
• Stop and report unsafe work; ensure subcontractors comply with WSH requirements.
• Progress & Programme Control: track daily and weekly progress; compare with baseline; prepare progress reports; identify delays and recovery plans.
• Coordinate critical activities; monitor subcontractor productivity; prepare look-ahead programmes; coordinate inspections to avoid stoppages.

10. 10. Subcontractor Management. Brief subcontractors on drawings and construction requirements. Coordinate daily work activities. Monitor subcontractor progress. Check manpower deployment. Coordinate material deliveries.


11. 11. Ensure subcontractors follow approved method statements. Monitor productivity. Resolve site technical problems. Coordinate interfaces between different trades. Verify completed works before requesting consultant inspection.


12. 12. Quality Control / QAQC. Conduct site inspections. Prepare inspection requests. Coordinate inspections with consultants/QP. Check reinforcement before concreting. Check formwork and dimensions. Check concrete works and cube tests. Monitor waterproofing tests.


13. 13. Monitor material testing. Check workmanship and finishes. Issue/track inspection records. Record defects and follow up corrective actions. Manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).


14. 14. Maintain QA/QC documentation. Prepare records for project handover.


15. 15. Safety / WSH. Ensure work follows approved risk assessments and method statements. Conduct/participate in toolbox meetings. Identify unsafe conditions. Coordinate with the WSH Officer/Coordinator. Monitor work-at-height controls.


16. 16. Check excavation and temporary works controls. Coordinate lifting operations. Ensure proper barricading and access.


17. 17. Stop and report unsafe work where necessary. Ensure subcontractors comply with WSH requirements.


18. 18. Progress & Programme Control. rack daily and weekly progress. Compare actual progress against baseline programme. Prepare progress reports. Identify delays. Develop recovery plans.


19. 19. Coordinate critical activities. Monitor subcontractor productivity. Prepare look-ahead programmes. Coordinate inspections to avoid work stoppages. Update Project Manager on potential delays.


20. 20. Materials & Procurement. Prepare material requirements. Review material specifications. Submit materials for consultant approval. Coordinate samples.
