Job summary

SRI SUN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced M&E project engineer to conduct site surveys, prepare detailed quotations, and manage budgets for ACMV projects.

You will supervise duct, pipe, and electrical works, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with subcontractors to meet project timelines. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in M&E engineering with at least 5 years in building construction ACMV projects, strong leadership, and Excel-based cost analysis proficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in building construction ACMV projects.
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed quotations for budgeting and planning.
• Manage construction quality and enforce safety standards on site.
• Control project budgets by monitoring costs and negotiating quotations.
• Use Excel for data analysis and cost estimations.
• Inspect site installation against drawings to ensure compliance.
• Supervise ACMV duct, pipe, and electrical works on site.
• Apply M&E terms and BAS interfacing/testing for project compliance.
• Lead and participate in Toolbox talks and work coordination meetings.
• Coordinate with civil contractors and subcontractors for housekeeping and material storage.
• Perform other duties to support project completion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed quotations to support project budgeting and planning
• Manage construction quality and enforce safety standards throughout project execution
• Control project budgets by monitoring costs and negotiating quotations with suppliers and subcontractors
• Use Excel calculation software to analyze data and support project cost estimations
• Inspect site installation work against approved drawings to ensure compliance with specifications
• Supervise, schedule, monitor, and inspect progress of ACMV duct, pipe, and electrical works on site
• Understand and apply terms and conditions of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems to ensure project compliance
• Lead and participate in Tool Box and work arrangement meetings to coordinate site activities effectively
• Coordinate with civil contractors and subcontractors to maintain housekeeping, protect equipment, and manage storage of materials and tools
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion and team objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in building construction ACMV projects
• Leadership skills to effectively control and manage subcontractors
• Knowledge of ACMV systems and Building Automation System (BAS) interfacing and testing
