Job summary

Mott MacDonald Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Energy Storage Specialist to lead the technical delivery of battery energy storage system projects in Asia Pacific, focusing on Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Republic of Korea or Japan. This role combines consultancy engineering with project management across global energy storage assignments.

You will interface with clients, manage resources, develop knowledge bases, and contribute to digital strategies while building long-term

Qualifications

Degree in electrical engineering with specialization in power systems or renewable energy.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including conceptual design and deployment of BESS.
Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro) is advantageous.
Experience with power system simulation tools and microgrid/hybrid energy systems is advantageous.
Strong project management skills in international environments.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist technical inputs for battery energy storage projects globally, focusing on APAC.
Interface with clients at all levels, manage contractual relationships and respond to opportunities.
Lead projects according to Mott MacDonald quality assurance system.
Manage project resources, coordinating input from other parts of the organisation.
Develop and maintain knowledge base of current technical standards and practices.
Support in driving digital strategy within the Energy sector.
