Job summary

Dyson is seeking a software engineer with 1–2 years of experience in machine learning, computer vision, or software development. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Computer Engineering or related field with strong quantitative foundation.
• Experience in computer vision, ML, data science, or software development (1–2 years).
• Experience with ML lifecycle: data prep, training, evaluation and deployment.
• Knowledge of ML fundamentals: data viz, cleaning, classic ML, deep learning.
• Hands-on with embedding/vision apps on embedded or edge devices is a plus.
• Proficiency with OpenCV, scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch.
• OO programming in C++ or Python; Linux development environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ML or data-driven features across embedded, cloud, and app platforms.
• Collaborate with ML specialists, data ops, UX/UI designers, and software engineers.
• Develop data pipelines for collecting and processing sensor data.
• Analyze user and device data to improve models and features.
• Integrate model outputs into user-facing interfaces with UX/UI and apps teams.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept including data collection, annotation, and evaluation.
• Deploy models and evaluate performance on edge devices and hardware.
• Develop APIs for ML and data-driven features; participate in code reviews and documentation.
