Job summary

Beyondsoft International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and maintain low-level software for ARM-based microcontrollers and processors.

This role bridges hardware and software, covering board bring-up, driver development, and system validation. You will work on peripheral drivers (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet), perform hardware-software integration, and support production releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 2 years hands-on embedded firmware development experience.
• Strong command of C and C++ for firmware.
• Proven firmware experience on ARM-based MCUs/MPUs.
• Solid understanding of embedded architecture, memory, interrupts, and drivers.
• Hands-on hardware debugging tools experience (JTAG, GDB, Trace32).
• Familiarity with Git, Agile SDLC, and software development life cycle.
• Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or ThreadX.
• Experience scripting automation/tests with Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain low-level embedded code in C/C++ for ARM MCUs/MPUs.
• Develop drivers and software components for peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, GPIO).
• Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, and HW-SW integration on new boards.
• Identify and resolve firmware bugs using hardware debugging tools and analyzers.
• Design and execute unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, manufacturing, and systems teams across the lifecycle.
• Support production releases and resolve issues escalated by manufacturing/QA/customers.
• Maintain technical specifications, design docs, and validation reports.
