Job summary

Flexxon Global Limited in Singapore is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to develop and integrate embedded firmware, Linux BSPs and applications for our custom hardware platforms. You will focus on automation, debugging and hardware‑software integration across the product lifecycle.

The role involves working with SoC/FPGA teams, integrating IP cores, configuring PetaLinux, and maintaining robust code quality with peer reviews and clear technical docs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant engineering/computer field.
• Hands-on firmware and software development using C and C++.
• Proficient in Python and Shell scripting for automation and testing.
• Experience with Embedded Linux BSPs, device drivers, and build tools like Yocto or Buildroot.
• Understanding of hardware fundamentals, SoC architectures, and common interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet).
• Experience with AMD Xilinx Zynq MPSoC, Vivado, PetaLinux, and Vitis is a plus.
• Familiarity with security concepts and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Firmware & Embedded Software: Develop, debug, and maintain low-level firmware and system software using C and C++.
• Embedded Linux & BSP Development: Develop and customize Embedded Linux BSPs, device drivers, bootloaders (U-Boot), and kernel configurations.
• Application & SDK Development: Implement user-space applications and SDKs on customized Embedded Linux boards using C and C++.
• Automation & Scripting: Write test automation scripts, build utilities, and workflow tools using Python and Shell scripting.
• Hardware Bring-Up & Debugging: Participate in initial board bring-up and debug hardware-software interactions.
• FPGA & System Acceleration Integration: Collaborate on hardware/software co-design for SoC/FPGA platforms, integrating custom IP cores, PetaLinux configurations, and acceleration frameworks.
• Code Quality & Documentation: Participate in peer code reviews, support quality code practices, and maintain precise technical documentation.
