Job summary

Beyondsoft International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to design, develop, and maintain firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers.

You will drive hardware/software integration, implement low-level drivers, and contribute to testing and CI/CD processes. The role requires strong C/C++ skills, 3+ years of embedded experience, and familiarity with RTOS, embedded Linux, and debugging tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded firmware development, with strong proficiency in C/C++.
• Hands-on experience in embedded systems, ARM-based microcontrollers/processors, RTOS, and firmware debugging.
• Familiarity with Git, Python, and software testing/CI/CD.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, device drivers, or secure firmware will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++ for ARM-based microcontrollers and processors.
• Develop low-level drivers and peripheral interfaces, including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, and GPIO.
• Perform board bring-up, hardware-software integration, firmware validation, debugging, and troubleshooting using tools such as JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system-level testing, including automated testing using Python and CI/CD tools where applicable.
• Analyse system requirements and translate them into reliable and maintainable firmware designs, while participating in code reviews and following software quality standards.
• Work closely with hardware, QA, manufacturing, and system engineering teams to resolve product issues and support firmware releases and sustaining engineering activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, test plans, and reports.
