Job summary

SKYLER CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a technical installation technician to assist with electrical and electronic systems across residential and commercial renovation projects in Singapore.

You will help install, test, troubleshoot and maintain systems, support smart building devices, and read electrical drawings under supervision. The role requires hands-on work at multiple sites, a relevant qualification, willingness to learn, safety awareness, and the ability to collaborate with project

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Electronics or Electrical or IT-related field.
• Basic knowledge of electronic systems, electrical wiring, IT devices.
• Internship or practical experience considered advantageous.
• Willingness to learn smart building systems and related tech.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems for residential and commercial renovation projects.
• Support installation of electronic and low-voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, intercom, data cabling, smart home devices and lighting control systems.
• Assist with cable routing, wiring, conduit installation and related electrical works according to site and project requirements.
• Perform basic testing and fault identification for electronic devices, control systems, electrical points and related equipment.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of smart switches, sensors, controllers and other electronic devices.
• Read and follow basic electrical and electronic drawings, layouts and technical specifications.
• Provide on-site technical support and assist in troubleshooting system and equipment issues.
• Coordinate with project supervisors, contractors and other site personnel to ensure installation works are completed according to schedule.
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials used for electrical and electronic works.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with workplace safety requirements and company procedures.
• Support residential, office, retail and other commercial renovation projects at different locations in Singapore.
• Carry out other related technical duties according to project requirements.

Requirements

• Technical secondary school, vocational certificate, NITEC or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical, Information Technology, Mobile Application Technology or other related technical fields.
• Basic knowledge of electronic systems, electrical wiring, IT devices or technical equipment is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant internship, technical training or practical experience will have an advantage.
• Basic understanding of smart devices, networking, electronic equipment or low-voltage systems will be an advantage.
• Able to perform hands‑on technical work at different project sites.
• Willing to learn and develop skills in electrical, electronic and smart building systems.
• Responsible, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Arrangement

Working hours will be arranged according to project and site requirements.

As some commercial renovation projects may only permit installation works outside normal business hours, employees may occasionally be required to work in the evening, on weekends or on public holidays.

Work schedules will be planned according to project requirements, and any applicable overtime, rest‑day or public‑holiday arrangements will be handled in accordance with the employment contract and prevailing Singapore employment regulations.
