Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a skilled technician for troubleshooting and servicing navigation equipment, requiring at least 2 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in navigation & radar equipment troubleshooting and servicing.
• Ability to perform field work on-board vessels and at shipyards is necessary.
• Experience in testing, repair, and inspection of marine electronic equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment.
• Source and manage spares and consumables.
• Respond to RFQs and provide service reports.
• Close jobs administratively and perform other related duties.

Employment Type: Contract

Monthly Salary: Up to $3,800 + AWS + VB

- 1 Year Contract (Renewable)
- Up to $3,800 + AWS + VB
- Mon to Fri: 8am-5.30pm

Responsibilities

• To perform troubleshooting, installation/removal, modifications, maintenance and repair on designated equipment either on shore or on-board vessels
• Indent or sourcing for spares and consumables
• Responding to RFQs
• Providing service reports
• Performing administrative closure of jobs
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Period

• 1 Year Contract (Renewable)

Location

• Shuttle Service to and from Tuas Naval Base at Joo Koon MRT (AM and PM)
• Shuttle Service to and from Changi Naval Base at Simei and Tanah MerahMRT (AM and PM)

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday (8am to 5.30pm)
• Basic Salary up to $3,800 (Depending onexperience and qualification)
• VB (Subjected toindividual and company performance)

Requirements

• ITE or diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years ofexperience in navigation & radar equipment troubleshooting and servicing
• A good team player who is hands-on and meticulous
• Able to read and interpret schematics and tech drawings will be an advantage
• Able to perform field work on-board vessels and ship yard
• Able to carry out testing, repair and inspection of the below list of equipment will have an added advantage:

  • Speed log equipment
  • Echo sounder equipment
  • Transmitting magnetic compass system
