Job summary

DSO National Laboratories in Singapore is seeking an Electronics and Control Engineer to join the Guided Systems Division of our R&D team. You will contribute to end-to-end design, development, testing and qualification of EO-IR systems, and work on intelligent imaging platforms.

You will collaborate across electronics, control, software and mechanical engineering disciplines, applying advanced simulations, FPGA firmware and edge computing to deliver robust, high-performance solutions for

Qualifications

• Degree or Master in Electronics, Computer, or Control Engineering.
• Proficiency in Zemax, Code V and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience in FPGA, firmware and software development (VHDL/Verilog/C/C++/Python).
• Experience with NVIDIA platforms for real-time video processing or CV.
• Knowledge of TI real-time processors (C2000/TI DSP).
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• System integration, testing, troubleshooting and validation.

• Be part of a research team that drives end-to-end design, development, testing and qualification of EO-IR systems.
• Oversee electrical hardware, servo control loops and embedded processing units.
• Design precision motor control electronics for multi-axis stabilised gimbals and edge computing deployments.

Electronics and Control Engineer

In This Role, You Will

• Be part of a research team that drives the end-to-end design, development, testing and qualification of next generation Electro-Optics / Infrared (EO-IR) systems.
• Be responsible for the electrical hardware, servo control loops, and embedded processing units that power the intelligent imaging systems.
• Design precision motor control electronics for multi-axis stabilised gimbals, integrate advanced sensor pipelines, and deploy real-time software onto edge-computing architecture.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Master in Electronics, Computer, or Control Engineering.
• Proficiency in optical design software (Zemax, Code V) and control system simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink).
• Experience in FPGA, firmware, and software development using VHDL, Verilog, C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with NVIDIA platforms (Jetson Nano, Xavier, Orin) for real-time video processing, object tracking, or computer vision.
• Knowledge of Texas Instruments real-time processors, such as C2000 or TI DSP.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing technical requirements.
