Job summary

DSO National Laboratories is seeking a Control Engineer in Singapore to design and implement control algorithms for gimbals systems and to fuse sensor data using Kalman Filtering.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate and evaluate system performance, with emphasis on robust control design and rigorous testing in an in-house HIL facility.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Masters/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or EE
  • Strong understanding of control system design and implementation
  • Experience with MATLAB and C/C++ preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement control algorithms for gimbals systems
  • Design and implementation of Kalman Filtering to fuse sensor data
  • Test performance using in-house Hardware-in-the-loop facility
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for system integration and evaluation

Job description

The Emerging Systems Division focuses research and development on a broad spectrum of capabilities that are critical to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) defence systems. Control Engineer

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement control algorithms for gimbals systems
  • Design and implementation of techniques, such as Kalman Filtering, to combine data from multiple sensors
  • Implementation of control algorithm, and design experiment to test performance using an in-house Hardware-in-the-loop facility
  • Work with a multi-discipline team for system integration and performance evaluation
  • Degree/ Masters/ PhD in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronic Engineering
  • Understanding of control system design and implementation
  • Experience in with software such as Matlab and C/C++ preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
