Job summary

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking Electronic Trading Support Engineers to join our Trade Operations team in Singapore. This role focuses on managing HRT’s live trading environment, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing the platform while handling risk, regulatory, and development tasks.

In a high performance setting, engineers diagnose issues to meet market opening times, balance compliance and risk with PnL during trading, and coordinate technical rollouts for new strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, Engineering, Physics, Math, etc.)
• Strong working knowledge of Linux systems
• Working experience with Python
• Ability to identify areas for platform improvement in a complex technical environment
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills
• Ability to coordinate difficult projects between multiple parties (internal and external) and bring them to fruition
• Exceptional organization skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong understanding of Market Data/Order Entry systems and an interest in how modern electronic markets work
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

Responsibilities

• Handle order flow from HRT’s trading desks
• Respond to external market alerts and outages
• Interface with exchanges & other external parties to support trading
• Manage new initiatives and ensure a smooth trading day
• Be the first line of defense when the inevitable happens, and the subject matter expert on recent changes to the production trading platform
