Job summary

GEE SUAN HUMAN RESOURCE CONSULTANTS is seeking an Electrical Technician / Electrician to perform on-site electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance across residential and commercial projects in Singapore.

The role requires hands-on experience, ability to read SLDs/blueprints, and strict adherence to WSH and EMA regulations. You will travel to sites, install lighting, test circuits, and support in-store sales when workload allows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on residential/commercial electrical installation experience.
• Able to read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLD) and site blueprints.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage as per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission indoor/outdoor lighting systems across residential and commercial sites.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform safe repairs.
• Execute surface/trunking, conduit runs, cable pulling, and socket installations.
• Inspect and test distribution boards (DB boxes) and ensure proper MCB/RCCB/ELCB operation.
• Comply with EMA regulations and WSH Act on worksites.
• Assist with in-store sales and provide technical consultations when possible.
• Maintain PPE and site cleanliness; protect customer property.
• Communicate with homeowners and project managers in English and Mandarin/Malay.
• Follow daily schedules via apps/dispatchers.

• Job Title: Electrical Technician / Electrician
• Location: Singapore (Islandwide Sites & Showroom/Retail Store)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, safety-conscious, and customer-oriented Electrical Technician to perform on-site electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance across residential and commercial projects in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential homes and commercial jobsites to install, replace, test, and commission indoor/outdoor lighting systems including LEDs, track lights, downlights, and smart switches.
• Inspect and diagnose electrical faults, power trips, and light fixture malfunctions to perform timely and safe repairs.
• Independently execute surface and concealed PVC trunking and metal conduit runs, cable pulling, wall chasing, and install 13A power sockets and switch points.
• Perform safety inspections, wiring terminations, and routine testing of residential and commercial distribution boards (DB boxes), ensuring proper MCB and RCCB/ELCB functionality in compliance with Energy Market Authority (EMA) regulations.
• Adhere strictly to Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, SS 638 Code of Practice for Electrical Installations, and local jobsite safety standards.
• Assist with in-store sales, inventory management, and provide technical customer consultations when site workload permits.
• Maintain strict use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including MOM-approved insulated safety shoes, safety helmets, full-body safety harnesses for work-at-height, and insulated hand tools at all times on site.
• Protect customer property by using canvas sheets or drop cloths during work and clean up drilling dust and debris after tasks such as wall chasing or ceiling installation.
• Communicate effectively in daily work situations using English and/or conversational Mandarin or Malay to liaise with homeowners, main contractors, site supervisors, and project managers.
• Follow assigned daily job schedules accurately as communicated via mobile apps or dispatchers.

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial electrical installation and re-wiring in Singapore.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLD) and site architectural blueprints independently.
• Proficient in cable pulling, surface trunking, wall chasing, socket installation, DB box wiring, and light fixture assembly and repair.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE as per WSH regulations.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience assisting or working under the supervision of a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW).
