Job summary

ELECTWERKZ PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a skilled electrical technician to install, test and commission electrical equipment, control panels and related systems on customer sites.

Qualified candidates will perform wiring, read drawings, conduct testing and fault diagnosis, maintain safety standards, and provide on-site technical support across projects.

The role requires hands-on experience, willingness to travel, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Secondary-school education or equivalent qualification.
• Electrical technical training or certification is advantageous.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience in electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Ability to use electrical testing instruments safely and correctly.
• Willing to travel to different work sites and work outside normal office hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission electrical equipment, control panels and related systems.
• Perform electrical wiring, termination and connection work according to drawings and specifications.
• Carry out testing, inspection, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical systems and equipment.
• Identify defective electrical components and recommend repair or replacement work.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at customers’ premises and project sites.
• Assist with the installation, configuration and testing of motors, variable speed drives and motor-control equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
