Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd seeks an Electrical Project Engineer - Marine/Dynamic Positioning to lead DP software deliveries aboard vessels and in the office. The role involves traveling to vessels worldwide and coordinating with customers and head office on pre-commissioning, commissioning and ongoing support.

The position focuses on dynamic positioning software systems, with frequent on-site work and documentation for FAT/IAT, requiring strong technical and communication

Qualifications

• Knowledge of C/C++ programming.
• Experience in Navy or shipbuilding industry appreciated.
• Background in cybernetics, control engineering, marine technology or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Dynamic positioning software commissioning on board vessels.
• Participation in installation and commissioning including CAT (Customer Acceptance Test).
• Extensive commissioning of DP software systems worldwide (~120 travel days/year).
• Dynamic positioning software engineering in office.
• Prepare for and participate in IAT and FAT.
• Produce project documentation: design documents and procedures.
• Liaise between customers and head office on pre-commissioning/commissioning, maintenance and operation of systems.

Electrical Project Engineer - Marine/ Dynamic Positioning

Travel Requirement: Involves an average of 120 travel days per year

Job Purpose

• To strengthen our team of project engineers working on Dynamic Positioning software deliveries.
• Your time will be divided between software tasks in the office and traveling to vessels worldwide.

Key Accountabilities (Responsibilities)

• Dynamic positioning Software commissioning on board vessels.
• Participate in installation and commissioning including CAT (Customer Acceptance Test).
• Extensive commission Dynamic Positioning software systems worldwide (approx. 120 travel days per year)
• Dynamic positioning Software engineering in office.
• Prepare for and participate in IAT (Internal Acceptance Test) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
• Production of project documentation, i.e. design documents and procedures.
• Participate in meetings, internal and external.
• Maintain open communication link with various expertise from Head office to continuous find ways to improve, innovate and effectively managed product and projects.
• Liaison between customers and main office on all aspects of pre-commissioning/ commissioning, maintenance and operation of systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Diploma qualification with at least 5 years of experience in the Navy or 3 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming
