Job summary

Menlo Research seeks an Electrical Engineer to own design, integration and bring-up of electronic systems powering Asimov. You’ll work across schematics, PCB layouts, harness design and hardware debug to ensure field-ready performance.

Bring-up power systems, sensors and actuation subassemblies, iterating from tests to robust designs. Collaboration with firmware, controls and mechanical teams is essential for low-latency, reliable operation.

Qualifications

Hands-on electrical engineering experience on complex electromechanical products.
Strong understanding of motor drivers, sensors and embedded hardware integration.
Experience with low-voltage DC power systems, DC-DC converters and EMI techniques.

Responsibilities

Design and review schematics and PCB layouts for power, motor drive and sensor electronics.
Integrate harnesses, PCBA enclosures, and motor controllers into mechanical assemblies.
Lead bring-up of power systems and sensors; diagnose issues across revisions.
Define and run electrical and system-level test protocols; analyze failure modes.
Collaborate with firmware and controls to ensure low-latency, stable loops.
Contribute to open-source design efforts and manufacturing documentation.
