Job summary

ChemLex seeks an Electrical Engineer for our new automated R&D and production facility in Singapore. You will operate and maintain on-site automated hardware, and design/install new systems. Responsibilities include cabinet drawings, installation oversight, and commissioning documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical/Automation, at least 3 years' electrical design experience, PLC programming expertise, and English fluency. Travel internationally for training is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Control, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of servo control, stepper motor control, and familiarity with robotic motion control.
• Proficient in PLC programming and hardware, with independent development and design capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Fluency in English speaking, reading and writing.
• Willingness to travel internationally for training.

Responsibilities

• Design overall electrical solutions and select electrical components.
• Develop and debug PLC programs, design and debug IHM, assemble and debug electromechanical systems, and perform network communication debugging.
• Design and produce electrical control cabinet drawings.
• Oversee system installation, commissioning, and preparation of technical documents and related drawings.
• Communicate with electrical system suppliers on technical matters.

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all automated hardware on site, as well as the design and installation of new systems. Necessary qualifications and qualities
