Job summary

MK Engineering & Consultancy Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist M&E/ Design Consultants in reviewing design intents and improving system performance.

The role involves equipment sizing and selection, value engineering, coordinating with suppliers, preparing technical submissions, and leading testing and commissioning of electrical systems in line with local codes. You will work closely with project teams to ensure design alignment, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical system design and compliance with local codes.
• Ability to perform equipment sizing and selection.
• Experience liaising with suppliers and preparing technical submissions.
• Ability to lead testing and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist M&E/ Design Consultants in reviewing the design intent and identify system discrepancies or improve system performance if necessary.
• Carry out value engineering to the system whenever necessary without compromising performance and compliance to local authorities’ requirements / Local Code of Practices.
• Perform equipment sizing and selection in accord with engineering calculations approved by M&E Consultants.
• Prepare technical submissions to M&E Consultants for approval and follow up on comments.
• Take charge of overall planning and execution of Electrical system Testing & Commissioning.

Job description

• Assist M&E/ Design Consultants in reviewing the design intend and identify system discrepancies or improve system performance if necessary.

• Carry out value engineering to the system whenever necessary without compromising the system performance and compliance to the local authorities’ requirements / Local Code of Practices.

• Perform Equipment selection in accord

ance to the engineering calculation done and approved by M&E Consultants.

• Perform sizing and selection of the Electrical system material in accordance to the engineering calculation done and approved by M&E Consultants.

• Liaise with the equipment suppliers and material suppliers to ensure selection of the equipment are relevant and compliance to the technical specification/requirements.

• Prepare technical submission to M&E Consultants for approval and follow up on the comment (if any) related to the submission.

• Work closely with the associate team members to see that overall Electrical system design development are meeting the design intend of M&E Consultants.

• Take charge in the overall planning and execution of Electrical system Testing & Commissioning.
