Job Title: Robotics Electrical Engineer

Location: Singapore, Shenzheng

Job Type: Full-time

About the Opportunity

We are building intelligent robots designed to push the boundaries of real-world application. We are now seeking our inaugural (first) Robotics Electrical Engineer to lay the foundation for their core electrical systems.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will take end-to-end ownership of designing, testing, and industrializing the key electrical modules for their first wave of robots. You will be responsible for engineering reliable power and control electronics from the ground up, collaborating closely with firmware teams, and ensuring all hardware meets global safety and compliance standards before shipping to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Architecture: Take full ownership of hardware architecture. Design, review, and critique schematics and PCB layouts for critical systems, including power distribution units (PDUs), motor driver boards, and actuator control electronics.
  • Prototype & Debug: Lead the hands-on "bring-up" and debugging of all new hardware revisions. This includes power systems, sensors, and actuator sub-assemblies. You will be the primary expert diagnosing and resolving complex electrical issues.
  • Manufacturability & Compliance (DFM/EMC): Drive the industrialization process. Refine all designs for robustness, high-volume production (DFM/DFA), and international regulatory compliance (e.g., EMC, safety certifications).
  • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Act as the key electrical partner to the firmware/software engineers. You will work together to tune motor control algorithms, optimize sensor feedback loops, and validate reliable communication over protocols like CAN, UART, and SPI.
  • Performance Validation: Develop and execute rigorous test plans. Conduct comprehensive electrical performance assessments in both lab and real-world field settings using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and bus analyzers (e.g., CANalyzer, Saleae).
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • PCB Design Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Altium Designer (or equivalent EDA tools) for complex schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout.
  • Signal Integrity & EMI/EMC: A proven track record in Signal Integrity (SI) analysis for high-speed signals, EMI/EMC mitigation, and troubleshooting complex electrical anomalies.
  • Power Electronics: Deep familiarity with low-voltage (<60V) DC power systems, DCDC converters, MOSFET gate drivers, current-sense amplifiers, and passive network design.
  • Electromechanical Systems: Practical, hands-on experience integrating and debugging motors (BLDC, FOC), actuators, various sensors, custom wire harnesses, and data buses (CAN, UART, SPI).
  • Lab Instrumentation: Expert-level proficiency using lab equipment for in-depth hardware debugging, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and CAN/UART sniffers.
  • Robustness & Grounding: Expertise in designing for real-world robustness, including proper connector selection, grounding strategies, harness routing, and EMI suppression techniques.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
  • Programming Languages: Strong skills in C and Python for developing test scripts, supporting firmware integration, and creating automation.
  • Embedded Compute: Familiarity with high-performance, ARM-based embedded systems like the NVIDIA Jetson platforms (Orin Nano, Orin NX).
  • Circuit Simulation: Experience using SPICE or similar tools to model and optimize power-electronic circuits before prototyping.
  • Battery Systems: A background in lithium-ion battery pack design, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and associated validation protocols.
Why Join Us?

Take part in a small, fast-moving, and high-impact team to build the future of humanoid robotics. We foster a culture of deep ownership, creativity, and open collaboration. If you are driven to build robots that truly push the boundaries of real-world intelligence, this is your opportunity to help make history.
