Job summary

Singapore Builder's M&E - Landscape & Metal Engineering PTE. LTD. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, plan and supervise electrical installation works on construction projects in Singapore.

You will prepare, review and coordinate drawings, specifications and technical documents, and liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities include monitoring progress against schedules, site inspections, testing and commissioning, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical engineering experience in construction.
• Experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of Singapore electrical codes and safety requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination with clients, consultants and site teams.

Job description

Design, plan and supervise electrical installation works for construction projects.

Prepare, review and coordinate electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors on electrical works.

Monitor electrical installation progress and ensure works are completed according to project schedules.

Conduct site inspections and ensure electrical works meet required quality and safety standards.

Coordinate testing, commissioning and rectification of electrical systems.

Provide technical support and resolve electrical engineering and site-related issues.

Review material specifications and coordinate procurement of electrical equipment and materials.

Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, relevant codes, standards and Singapore regulations.

Monitor subcontractors' work and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Attend site meetings and provide technical updates to project management.

Prepare progress reports, inspection records and other project documentation.

Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline .
• Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience , preferably in the construction industry.
• Experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices and technical standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of Singapore electrical and workplace safety requirements.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of electrical design software is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and site teams.
• Relevant Singapore construction/M&E experience will be an advantage.
