Job summary

Job description

What You Will Be Working On

You will act as a client representative electrical design engineer for JTC and various public sector agencies for building and infrastructure projects as well as industrial estates. You will also coordinate with the Energy Market Authority (EMA) and Singapore Power (SP) PowerGrid to plan the electrical infrastructure supporting JTC industrial estates.

You will formulate project briefs for consultancy tenders, manage the consultants and review their design drawings, technical calculations and specifications from design till project completion. You will work and co-ordinate with multiple public sector agencies and technical professionals in the project teams. You will work closely with other JTC colleagues to project the future industrial power demand and work with government agencies, EMA and SP Group to plan the upgrading of electrical infrastructure and construction of new substations to support the power requirements of future industrialists. You will plan the electrical requirements and smart systems for new or upgraded business parks and JTC industrial estates. You will also represent JTC in various agencies committees for technical matters and technology discussions.

What We Are Looking For

• Background in Electrical or Power Engineering with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in consultancy, design and/or electrical network planning
• Registration with the Professional Engineer's Board (PEB) would be an advantage
• Certifications such as Design for Safety Professional, Green Mark, and Building Construction certifications advantageous
• Strong grasp of engineering concepts with ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination
• Self-driven and dynamic approach to project management
