Job summary

dConstruct Robotics is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop our robotics platform and other devices in Singapore. You will collaborate with the software team to test hardware, integrate sensors, and assist in product design and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• (Pursuing) a bachelor's degree / master's in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in PCB design and PCB design software.
• Familiar with controls of motors, actuators, and sensors.
• Knowledge of power management, DC-DC, CC/CV charging, and PoE.
• Knowledge of high-speed signaling (USB3.0, PCIe, HS Ethernet) on PCBs.
• Hands-on knowledge of C/C++.
• Experience with edge compute architectures (ARM, Xtensa, AVR; FPGA Xilinx; SOCs/SOMs).
• Knowledge of RTOS and Embedded Linux/Yocto is a plus.
• Familiar with CE and UL product safety standards.

dConstruct is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design and develop our robotics platform and other devices. You will be working with our software team to test and integrate new hardware and sensors. Additionally, you will be assisting in the design and manufacturing of our products.

Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, and deploy mechatronic components for our robotics platform and other devices.
• Work closely with the other engineering teams to gather user requirements.
• Source, test, and keep inventory of components used in various electrical assemblies.
• Ensure electrical components are in good working condition and perform troubleshooting for issues that arise.

Requirementsand skills

• (Pursuing) a bachelor's degree / master's in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experienced in PCB design and PCB design software.
• Familiar with the controls of various motors, actuators, and sensors.
• Knowledge of implementing power management systems like ORing controllers, DC-DC switch-mode power supplies, CC/CV battery charging, Linear Voltage Regulation, and Power over Ethernet.
• Alternatively, knowledge of implementing high speed signaling (>= 1Gbps) such as USB3.0, PCIe, and High-Speed Ethernet on PCBs.
• Hands-on knowledge of C/C++.
• Knowledge of various edge compute system architectures such as microcontrollers (ARM, Xtensa, AVR, etc.), FPGA (Xilinx), or various SOCs/SOMs (Rockchip), as well as how to program them.
• Knowledge of edge computing paradigms like RTOS and Embedded Linux/Yocto, experience is a plus.
• Good to be familiar with industrial product safety standards like CE and UL.
