Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced electrical engineer to propose T&D solutions, define technical parameters, and deliver comprehensive design packages throughout the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate with clients and design teams, oversee FAT/SAT/Commissioning activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of T&D deliverables. A Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in designing Power and Distribution Transformers, MV/LV Switchgears and Prefabricated Substation.
• Results-oriented with strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office; knowledge of Eplan/Etap is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Propose Transmission & Distribution (T&D) solutions to meet customer application requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate customer specifications and bid documents to define technical parameters for electrical solution design.
• Provide value engineering to improve solution value proposition.
• Lead engineer coordinating with clients and design teams to support successful project bidding and execution.
• Prepare, review and develop detailed electrical design packages throughout the project lifecycle including SLD, BOM, GA, technical specifications, system studies, schematics, interface engineering, and design calculations.
• Support FAT, SAT, Testing & Commissioning as required to ensure successful delivery and energization of electrical systems.
• Assist in standardization and continuous improvement of T&D solutions and technical deliverables.

Job description

• Evaluate customer specifications and bid documents to define technical parameters for electrical solution design
• Provide value engineering to improve solution value proposition
• Acts as the lead engineer, coordinating with clients and design teams to support successful project bidding and execution
• Prepare, review and develop detailed electrical design package throughout the project lifecycle including but not limited to Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Bill of Materials (BOM), General Arrangements (GA), Technical specifications, System studies, Schematics, Interface engineering, Design calculations
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Testing & Commissioning(T&C) as required to ensure successful delivery and energization of electrical systems
• Assist in the standardization and continuous improvement of T&D solutions and technical deliverables

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in designing Power and Distribution Transformers, MV&LV Switchgears and Prefabricated Substation
• Results-oriented with strong problem-solving and coordination skills
• High Level of professionalism with effective communication skills
• Team player who can work well with colleagues at all levels
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MSOffice. Proficiency in Eplan, Etap and other software is a plus.
• Willing to travel overseas when required.
