Job summary

Nebius is hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to shape the resilient power infrastructure for its data centers across EMEA. You will drive HV/MV design from concept through commissioning, coordinating with mechanical, network, and civil teams to deliver scalable, safe electrical systems for demanding GPU workloads.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of related experience, and strong knowledge of HV/MV distribution, protection, earthing, and power-system analysis

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Typically 5+ years of electrical design experience in data centers, utilities or large industrial settings.
• Strong practical knowledge of HV and MV distribution and protection systems.
• Experience producing construction-ready design documents and specs.
• Familiarity with IEC and EN standards and local grid requirements across EMEA markets.
• Proficient with power-system analysis software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or SKM.
• Fluent professional English with ability to travel across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical designs for data center builds, expansions and upgrades across EMEA.
• Own HV/MV design inputs from utility connection through substations, transformers and switchgear.
• Produce design criteria, single-line diagrams, load schedules and equipment specs.
• Evaluate capacity, redundancy and distribution for high-density AI environments (N, N+1, 2N).
• Coordinate with mechanical, controls, network and civil workstreams so designs are buildable.
• Lead power-system studies including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination and harmonics.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/EN standards and Nebius engineering standards.
• Assist procurement, FATs, SATs, and commissioning; handover to operations.
