Job summary

BANEN ASSOCIATES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced EHS Trainer / WSH Trainer to support major Building and LTA construction projects in Singapore. The role blends EHS training with hands‑on WSH duties on active sites.

The candidate will conduct training, assess competency, and work with the safety team to enhance onsite safety performance. Mandarin ability is a plus and opportunities include competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance is required.
• Registered WSHO with valid certification is required.
• WSQ certificates for lifting operations and confined spaces are required.
• Experience in EHS/WSH training on Singapore construction sites is required.
• Mandarin ability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the EHS Training Matrix for site personnel.
• Plan and deliver classroom and practical EHS training programs.
• Assess worker competency via observations, tests and VOCs.
• Conduct VOC assessments for high‑risk trades, including lifting operations.
• Deliver training aligned with statutory, client and company safety requirements.
• Maintain training records and competency reports.
• Collaborate with project and safety teams to improve safety performance.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A leading A1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced EHS Trainer / WSHO to support major Building and LTA construction projects in Singapore.

The position combines EHS training and competency assessment with hands-on WSH responsibilities on active construction projects. When not conducting training, the successful candidate will work alongside the project safety team supporting day-to-day workplace safety and health activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain the EHS Training Matrix for worksite personnel.
• Plan and conduct classroom and practical EHS training programmes.
• Assess worker competency through observations, practical assessments and written tests.
• Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments for critical and high-risk trades, including lifting operations.
• Deliver training aligned with statutory, company and client-specific safety requirements.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and identify competency or training gaps.
• Maintain training records, VOC documentation and competency assessment reports.
• Work closely with project and safety teams to continuously improve workplace safety performance.

REQUIREMENTS

• WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance.
• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
• WSQ Supervise Safe Lifting Operations.
• WSQ Assess Confined Space for Safety Entry and Work.
• Relevant EHS/WSH training experience within the Singapore construction industry.
• Experience across Building and/or LTA projects is suitable.
• Strong communication, training delivery and competency-assessment capabilities.
• Mandarin-speaking ability will be advantageous.
